Paul Goodman
Paul has spent 35 years in and around the SME market, first as an accountant in practice and in senior industry roles, and since 2006 as founder of Goodman Corporate Finance. That combination means he understands a business from the inside, not just its funding request.
Over that time, he has helped arrange more than £3 billion in funding for UK businesses, always independently and across the whole market, developing finance solutions tailored to each company rather than to a single lender's product.
Paul served as Chair of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) for a decade, the longest-serving chair in its history. The NACFB is the largest independent, not-for-profit trade body in commercial finance, and during his tenure Paul worked directly with the Treasury, the British Business Bank, the Bank of England, and the Financial Conduct Authority to raise standards across the industry.
